A Community Hotspot: Introducing Glenwood Lounge
BY EMMA GEARY - DECEMBER 6 2022
It's not often that our Wednesday evenings include a live musical performance and glassblowing demonstrations, but last month Glenwood Lounge's launch party was a fabulous exception.
In our years working with Glass House, we've seen firsthand all of the time and thought that has gone into intentionally reimagining their space to welcome community. Everyone on the team is motivated to not only make Glenwood Lounge a design-forward event venue in the Twin Cities but also providing the space as a hub for community growth.
Glass House sought to bring together some of the brightest talents, across different walks of life in Minneapolis for a night that highlights why we “make” in this place. Come with us inside their reimagined space, built for lounging, connection, and creativity — Things we most definitely appreciate.
As Glass House evolves (you may have sipped coffee in their cafe pre-pandemic, previously called Parallel), they are becoming a center for Happenings in the Minneapolis creative community, and a space to amplify voices and foster fresh ideas.
Minnesota-Sourced Craft Cocktails
As part of Glenwood Lounge's new bar program, their mixologists create signature drinks for any event that play with elemental combinations of the botanic fueled by the bounty of every season's harvest. A personal favorite was their mezcal cocktail, which was the perfect balance of smoky and spicy.
Creativity is in every part of a Glenwood Lounge event, and their team loves to help create custom cocktails, drink programs, and curated wine lists for every occasion.
Hungry for Local
To showcase its several featured vendors, Glenwood Lounge was filled with delicious bites at every corner. From Gavin Kaysen's new Spoonthief Catering to the newest chef to the scene and absolutely worth getting to know, Imani Jackson's Chopped & Served, there are dozens of exceptional local catering vendors that were showing off their most delicious.
Glenwood Lounge makes an effort to work mindfully with each of its vendor partners, ensuring that each is doing its part to contribute to our community and bring fresh ideas and all types of talented people to the table. The result? A completely unique experience for guests. Every single time. Their team doesn't disappoint.
Not only are the vendors that work with Glass House + Glenwood Lounge unique, but the mission of the space as a whole is one we deeply admire. Their team is working to connect the city by uniting creatives, thinkers, rule-breakers, tender-hearts, and future leaders.
Natural Light and Intimate Seating
Whether it's the evening glow of candlelight or the sun streaming in on a LAB Talks morning event, Glenwood Lounge was designed with smaller seating areas and plenty of windows. It plays as a cocktail lounge and also works perfectly for pop-up restaurants, rehearsal dinners, anniversary parties + social hours.
With this new space, Glenwood Lounge aims to foster new ideas, build coalitions, spark conversations, and work towards a brighter future in Minneapolis.
This is a space built for community, and we couldn't be happier to have their team & beautiful spaces as our partner for hosting The Collective Spring and Fall Markets in 2023. Check out more details on their website and book your next event with Glass House and Glenwood Lounge today.
