Meet Moonstone Design + Build, a BIPOC women-owned design + build firm in Minnesota! Owner Lidia Valdivia has built her reputation on fostering quality relationships, valuing heritage, and detail-oriented design. She came to us looking for a brand to help represent her unique perspective, emphasizing her love of color, culture, and intentional design.⁠

With their goal being to bring to life their cultures in a colorful way, we created a series of custom patterns drawing inspiration from her family’s upbringing in vibrant communities from Nicaragua to Greece. Using colors inspired by neighborhoods of their youth and shapes that play to the “moon” element of the brand, the final product celebrates a marriage of heritage through design.

Copywriting was also key to developing a brand voice that brought Lidia’s warmth and relationship-driven business style to the forefront. Combining taglines with custom illustrations made for a vibrant, one-of-a-kind brand.⁠
