The Sweetest Summer: Our Team’s Season Highlights

BY EMMA GEARY - AUGUST 30, 2023

I’m not sure how we’re already packing up the summer for Labor Day Weekend, but alas, another sweet season is coming to a close. As we reflect on these extra-long days with sunkissed skin and an iced coffee in hand, we thought we’d share a few of our favorite summer memories from the last few months.

I was able to take a trip with my husband, Brandon, without kids for the first time in recent memory! We enjoyed all that the French Riviera has to offer - food, wine, countryside views, the Mediterranean, and more. What made the experience extra special was staying at Julia Child's former home in Provence with great friends that we know from college. Endless tableware, cooking herbs, a garden, and so much history along with elevated modern-day embellishments made it extra special. To cook in the same kitchen as Julia Child still feels like a dream. This trip inspired me in so many ways!

This summer I had the AMAZING opportunity to travel to Banff National Park with my family! It truly was the most beautiful place I have ever visited. We hiked, canoed, ate, and relaxed! Spending time outdoors with the people I love most is how I hope to spend every summer, and this trip was truly a highlight of the season.

This summer marks the end of an era - moving into my first solo apartment after living with one of my best friends for three years! To celebrate our send-off, we visited the Hamptons with my friend’s uncle, a New York-based interior designer who generously offered to host us at a client’s home. The art galleries, interior design, and dining concepts concentrated within this string of tiny towns were unmatched, and I truly felt transported to a different world. Plus, as a shameless reality TV addict, I geeked out when my favorite show, Summer House, showed up at our beach to film for an afternoon.

Early this summer I traveled to Belgium for a wedding, and we spent time in Brussels and Antwerp. These places weren’t on my bucket list, but I am so grateful this wedding brought me to Belgium! I was so in awe of the architecture, graphic designs, street art, the French influence in Brussels, and the fashion trends in Antwerp! They were SUCH beautiful cities with incredible food and shopping. I left feeling so inspired!

It was another summer for the books as our team traveled around the world, but one thing is for sure - there’s no place like home. Cheers to a fall filled with creativity and connection!
